In the world’s largest garbage dump,Jardim Gramacho near Rio de Janeiro,the rag pickers lead a hard life making $20 or $25 a day.The Brazilian artist Vik Muniz rooted in New York decides to make the difference and travels to Jardim Gramacho.Vik Muniz uses the garbage to con­struct large-scale por­traits which changes the lives of rag pickers.Waste land is an Emotional and thoughtful documentary directed by Lucy Walker.

Doing any­thing is better than doing nothing.
